Saturday Wk 9 update
For Monday, Week 10
cameramatic looks great!
EXCEPT we need some changes
- at the end we need one more shot of the speedometer
- another action shot (closeup of something similar to face and feet shots)
- the part where he's running in the wheel needs to be him going at full speed
- rearranging some of the elements at the slates for better design purpose
- 5:27 'power of 1 solar panel': move the switch back in z space, or put the hamster in back left
- 13:24 'at 500 mph': move light bulb to right of text, or inbetween sammy and text (not being overlapped by sammy)
- 16:00: 500 mph: should fly into camera for transition to speedometer
* - 20:00: plug in speedometer shot
- 21:03: plug in another closeup shot of sammy (similar to closeup of feet and face)
- speed of final shot should be constant, like from 25:18 - end, he should be going full speed
FOR MONDAY
gair: have the explosion as close to final as possible
chris: have textures ready
seugna: have closeup/action shot figured out
amy: start looking into compositing techniques

Rob's WEdnesday crits
roughly translated from my notes:
1. 'power' slate - replace sammy with bulb
2. 'is equal' slate - reveal sammy
3. 'dispel' slate - simplify camera move, slide over to next slate
4. '500' slate - move sammy so he is eye level, show more of his face
5. 'power' slate - sammy in distance, bulb in front, conductor in middle, type in center, cables running thru connecting them
6. 2 keyframe move: 'power' slate to 'equal to sammy' slate
7. '500' slate see bulb in the distance
8. replace switch with lightbulb
9. closeup of feet, show a side shot (see example)
10. no need for camera move during sammy spinning, sammy explodes while in motion
11. explosion goes into camera
12. one more running shot
13. explosion shot, see diagram
14. add one second on 'go solar' slate
1. 'power' slate - replace sammy with bulb

Monday, November 1, 2010
type animations
The timing right now is:
1. "lets dispel the myth..." - 4 sec
2. "the power of one..." - 3 sec
3. "is equal to" - 2 sec
4. "500mph" - 2 sec
I just realized, that half our piece is going to be in type... so I may have to revise these later.
Also, since "Go Solar" will be 4 seconds... that's basically 15 seconds of type in a 30 second piece.
If you can think of a more interesting way to lay these out or to animate them, i'd love to hear it! Please post some examples if you guys can find some good ones that fit the style, or just stuff you find inspiring.
